Tour Description: This walking tour gives you a glimpse into Cochin’s rich history and heritage, showcasing the mixed Dutch, Portuguese, British and Jewish influences that make the city unique. During the tour, we will visit the old quarter of Fort Kochi, exploring the quaint streets of this city on foot. We will also visit Fort Kochi’s seaside promenade, and get a glimpse of daily life in Kochi.
The walk lasts 2 hours and is suitable for people of all ages and fitness levels. If you have mobility problems and require special assistance (wheelchairs), please let us know.
Meeting Point: The meeting point for the walk is the entrance to St Francis Church (the left-most image shown in the photo above). Please assemble at the gate shown in the photo.
Coverage: Before the walk commences, your guide will provide an introduction to the history of Cochin and the events that have shaped it. You will also be given notes / handouts for the tour.
