In this late evening walk, we explore the surroundings of Mattancherry. This is a historic neighbourhood of the city, and its multi-culturalism makes it a very interesting walk. Hindus, Christians, Konginis, Jains and Muslims all live within around a 5km radius. The area has a wide range of small shops selling fruits, vegetables, flowers, groceries and other daily needs. It is also home to many local eateries, snacks and sweet shops. You can stop at a local eatery for tea, or if interested, taste some typical local snacks.
